Our Pastors

Pastor
Rev. Gerardo Castillo Pastrana was born on January 20, 1952, in Cupey Alto, Puerto Rico. He was one of eight children and a twin, born conjoined at the head with his sister Ana María. Their successful separation was seen as an early sign of God’s special purpose for his life.

In 1974, he married Gricette Fuentes Torres, his childhood friend, and together they had three children: Gerardo Jr. (Jerry), Fernando (Tito), and Jacindaly (Kiki). They are also blessed with a beloved son-in-law, Luis Guzmán, and three grandchildren: Jacob, Angelique, and Natalee.
At age 27, while living in New York City, Rev. Castillo began attending church and soon accepted Christ as his Savior. He became an active member of Iglesia Pentecostal Evangélica Sion, serving as a bus driver, deacon, men’s ministry leader, teacher, and church officer. His commitment and spiritual growth led to his pastoral calling in 1993.

He began pastoring El Santo Templo, later renamed Iglesia Pentecostal Luz Resplandeciente. Starting with only 25 members and no financial resources, Rev. Castillo trusted God to guide the church through several relocations. Eventually, they acquired their own building, where God has continued to bless the ministry both spiritually and materially.

Rev. Castillo’s unwavering faith, love for his congregation, and tireless dedication to the Lord’s work have left a lasting legacy. We thank him for his leadership and pray for continued blessings over his life and ministry.
